Stoicism for solopreneurs

Rich Fools, Poor fools

It always surprises me that entrepreneurs in 7 figure business face the same problems as people in small “mom and pop” businesses.
Only the scale changes.

Super rich folk struggle with the same personal and work issues that we all have.
This person is causing stress.
That roadblock is frustrating us.
That problem is worrying us.

Having more money gives you more security and some extra freedom of choice. But in many ways, it doesn’t change anything else at all.
We all compare ourselves to our neighbours:
If your neighbour has the limited edition Porsche with a fancy gearshift knob made of Panda skin, suddenly you need the gear shifter made of panda skin.
The problem with keeping up with the Jones’s is that there will always be new, richer Jones’s next door.
Poor fools are poor and foolish and rich fools are still fools.
There’s little difference between you and a millionaire.
