Stoicism for solopreneurs

The wrong question

In a society which promotes individualism,
It seems like “Success” is equated with just one metric:
Income

In this environment the question is always the same…
“How do I become successful”?
which through the lens of income = “How can I make more money?”

This ignores the far more important question:
“Why do I want to be successful?”

When one asks the second question, we have to then ask the second question:
“What is ‘success’ for me?”

This opens up all sorts of avenues and strategies for us that simply didn’t exist before under the narrow prism of income-only thinking.

So before you take on any new projects or plans, first, ask ‘Why’?
